Obituary of Roy Rudolph Oldenburg

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Roy Oldenburg of Vermilion. Roy passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017 in Wainwright Auxiliary Hospital at the age of 92 years. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his Children Roger (Sonia) Oldenburg of Vermilion, and Rena (Chris) Allin of Jasper; Grandchildren Karen (Durwin) Selte, Shannon (Colt) Arnold, Mel (Kyle) Alward, Cassi Allin, Natalie Allin, and Sean Allin; Great-Grandchildren Rhyan, Ashton, and Tenley Selte, Cole and Laramie-Lynn Arnold, and Blaire and Zadie Alward; Sister-In-Law Edna Oldenburg of Vermilion; as well as his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Loving Wife Ruth Oldenburg; Parents Rudolph and Sadie Oldenburg; Brothers Charlie and Clifford; and Sisters Dorothy Selte and Lee Ramsay. A Funeral Service for Roy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the First United Church, Vermilion. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the charity of donor's choice.
