Obituary of Frederick John Perkins

On Monday, September 7, 2009 Mr. Jack Perkins of Wainwright, Alberta passed away at the Wainwright Auxiliary Hospital at the age of 88 years. He is survived by three children, Bryan (Sharon) Perkins of Wainwright, Susan (Bob) Black of High River, Alberta, Mark (Hjordis) Perkins of Wainwright; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Vern and four sisters. Until being hospitalized, Jack lived his entire life on the farm his parents homesteaded in 1908. He was involved in many community activities including the COOP store, the Wainwright Credit Union, The REA and others. He was recognized as a leader in the Alberta Hog Industry. Jack was dedicated to his community, his farm and most of all his family.
