Elaine and family, I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Sid's passing. I got to know him by playing shuffleboard, and found him to be very friendly, caring, and competitive with his game. It was a pleasure to know him, and I offer my condolances.

Dear Elaine and Family, Our deepest sympathies to you at this difficult time, losing "dear Sid". What a love he was. We so wish we could have seen more of him and you, too, Elaine. I have the fondest memories of coming to your Mom and Dad's farm, as a little girl, and having Sid teach me the beginning of the "sign alphabet"! I always promised myself that one day I was going to take lessons and learn the entire thing so that I could communicate with Sid in that manner. But...how time goes by and other priorities take place! However, that never stopped Sid from coming over to have a conversation, on a piece of paper, whenever we were together; and for that I was so grateful. You know, I did not know Sid had passed away, but that week, I was thinking of both him and you ALL week! It was most interesting! And, I don't have your phone number, or a fax number for Sid, so I was feeling how "too bad" it was that I couldn't speak with either of you. But every day I walked my dog, last week, I had Sid on my mind and wondered how he was. Isn't that interesting? I think he was here with me, saying "Goodbye" in his same sweet, gentle way. Take care of yourself, Elaine. Maybe if you are in Red Deer sometime, we could get together for coffee or whatever works for you. All the best in the days and months to come. Dale and Donna

It touches my heart to see how many people knew and visited with my Uncle. So many people have stopped me down town to tell me how he will be missed. Thank you to all who took the time to stop and visit with my Uncle. This meant the world to him. He was a very special person and I will miss him more then anyone will ever know.
