My dearest Barrhead, Alberta high school chum, fellow cheerleader and adventure friend Catriona; I am so sad to learn Catriona is no longer with us to laugh, sing, dance and find more adventures in life. Catriona was always full of surprises too; as when she arrived in Winnipeg at my 1 bedroom complete with trunks and all her worldly possessions. I was attending university; we immediately found her employment at downtown Birks Jewellers. She was thrilled & the employ loved her. A few weeks later her brother Peter arrived to join us; not enough room so we were able to move them 1 level below me in the same building. We were like family cooking, eating and hanging together. The entire Stewart Hunter family was full of music, song, theatre, dance, adventure, kindness, caring and generosity. They were wonderful neighbors, community involved, great friends and wonderful persons.

In memory of my best friend Cate❤️ You left us too soon, there was so much more that we could have done, I will miss you dearly, so many times I think of you during the day, things to tell you or show you, share with you, I am truly lost with out you my friend, but I am so blessed to have you in my life, thank you for so much, I wish you were still here, I’d love to hear your voice and little chuckle:) your friend, sister and soulmate❤️Cecile

I had the honor of getting to work and get to know Cate over the last 7 years. She was a true gem, a unique woman, who always wondered us all with her stories and memories. We enjoyed working together, and spending time as a work family outside of the office as well. She loved time spent at the lake with the dental family, cruising in Brian’s boat, time at the beach and hanging out at the Rudosky cabin. Cate talked so fondly of her family, her friends and her sweet dog Jemma. She truly made an impact on all of those who had the privledge of getting to know her. Rest In Peace sweet girl ❤️

I was a patient of Cate. She was somebody who I automatically clicked with right away. We both share the love of animals. We loved sharing our photos and video tapes of our dogs with each other and she was an extraordinary woman. I am sorry for everyone’s loss she will be deeply missed!!!!!!

Cate was such a true friend and coworker. She had done many different things throughout her life from training horses, professional gift wrapping to becoming a dental hygienist. She was passionate about everything that she did and always pursued her dreams! You made such an impact on my life and so many others. I feel so blessed for you to have been a part of my life Cate. All my love and prayers to Cate’s family and friends at this time. She was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.
