Our brother, Shawn Henry had so many great qualities that we couldn’t possibly list them all but we will try. First of all, he was a gentle soul, he was humble and loving, caring, and gave everything he had to his family, even if it was very little. He gave his love to his mom, his favourite person on this earth. Shawn also gave his love to his sisters, who he referred to as ‘Aunty’s’ and he loved his five nephews like they were his own children. Shawn loved music and listening to his tunes on his tablet as well as using messenger to message his family to make sure everyone was okay. Shawn was a great friend to his buddies, he passed on no judgement, and accepted them for who they were and vice versa. He was a very patient and understanding man, who gave everyone a chance. Shawn was also goofy and had a quirky side, if you knew him, you know what we are talking about. Many times we would say “Oh Shawn” then laugh with him. Oh, how we miss him. Shawn taught us all to have and to show empathy, forgive others, even when you find it difficult to do. He was our teacher in this, and has made us all better people. He was a huge part of our lives through and through, and always will be. He gave everything he had to this world and the life he lived, with my mom, with us, his sisters and all of his nephews. We will deeply, with great sadness miss you everyday while we are on this earth but there is great comfort in knowing that we will be together again one day! We miss you, our brother, our teacher, our friend. Rest in peace, there is no more pain brother, your body and mind needs rest. Wait for us, we will see you soon enough.
