Obituary of Clara Louisa Hojcska

Clara Louisa Hojcska was born Thursday, February 24, 1921 to Joseph and Katherine Cornforth in Beiseker, Alberta. The third child of thirteen siblings and the matriarch of five generations. On Saturday, July 22, 2017, Clara passed away peacefully at 96 years of age; in her home at Points West Living, Wainwright, Alberta. Clara is loved and remembered by her family; 3 children, Lillian Skinner of Wainwright, Alberta, Judy Huyghbaert of Calgary, Alberta, Stella (Harry) Osteneck of Fort McMurray, Alberta; 10 grandchildren, John, Lela, Stan, Keith, Corinna, Sherry, Leonard, Melisha, Connie, Geoffrey; 3 step-grandchildren, Florence, Sharon, Judy; 27 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great- grandchildren; 3 siblings, Ben (Win), Katherine (Jack), Delbert (Dorothy) as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband, John in 1961; parents, Joe and Katherine Cornforth; parents-in-law, John and Mary Hojcska; son, Joe in 2008; sisters, Ruby, Jean, Lavina, Loreen; brothers, Sidney, Joe, Ivan, Dave; sons-in-law, Stewart Skinner, Rodger McGhee, Clifford Huyghebaert; daughter-in-law, Lucy Hojcska, and grand daughter, Leslie Hojcska. Clara's sister Elaine, sadly has passed as well just two days following her older sister. A funeral service for Mrs. Hojcska will be conducted on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, 2:00 p.m. from the Peace Lutheran Church, Wainwright, Alberta with Pastors Ron and Elaine Hobden officiating. Interment to take place at Wainwright Cemetery, Wainwright, Alberta with reception to follow at the Grace United Church fellowship hall.
