Obituary of Michael Egan Ray

On Thursday, January 24, 2019 Mr. Michael Ray of Vermilion passed away in the Royal Alexandra Hospital at the age of 66 years. Mike is survived by his brother Richard “Lee” (Lorraine) Ray of Winnipeg; sister Patricia Ray (Louis Chenard) of Ottawa; nieces Victoria Ray, Carrie (Eugene) Mishibinijima; nephews Richard (Mary) Ray, Bob (Anne) Ray, John (Sara) Ray, and Nathan Pedersen. He was predeceased by his parents Doris and Max Ray of Thunder Bay and sisters Val Walker of Winnipeg and Michele Pedersen of Thunder Bay. The family is profoundly saddened but deeply grateful for the care and compassion extended to Mike by his Vermilion friends and the Alberta medical community. In keeping with Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. If so desired, donations in memory of Mike may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of donor’s choice.
