Obituary of Delores Edna Thomson

On Monday, April 25, 2011 our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 91 at the Vermilion Health Centre. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her children: Merle (James Zadorozny) and Duncan (Doris) her grandchildren: Anne (Daenon) Ryton, Matthew (Anne-Marie) Zadorozny, Alissa Thomson (Nick Lamberink), Braeden Thomson, and great granddaughter Claire Olivia Ryton. Lolly also leaves her nieces, nephews and many dear friends and relatives. She was predeceased by Fred, her husband of 43 years, two infant sons and brothers Clarence and Keith. Mom was devoted to our family, spent many hours knitting beautiful sweaters for all the children in her life, and created many other fine crafts. She also loved to spend time at the cottage, reading in the sun or by the fire. Her family wishes to thank Dr. G. Stewart-Hunter, who brought two of Lolly’s grandchildren into this world and, with his palliative care team, made sure that her final days were peaceful and pain free. We also offer our grateful thanks to the kind and caring professionals who work at Vermilion Valley Lodge, Vermilion Home Care and Vermilion Health Care Complex for the friendship and support provided to Lolly and her family. Cremation has taken place as Lolly wished, and no funeral service will be held.
