Obituary of Hazel Marie Brown

Gran passed away peacefully just shy of her 104th birthday. She was born in Harper Valley, Oklahoma. Her family moved to Canada when she was just 4 years old. They homesteaded in the RM of Big Stick where her father also ran a general store. She moved around a lot in her life before settling with husband Jim in Hardisty, Alberta. She loved gardening, was a farm girl at heart and always had flowers and plants in her home. Gran loved meeting new people and with her quick wit made friends easily. She will be greatly missed by many. She is survived by her grandchildren, Jack Taylor, Brenda (Ron) Hall, Leo Taylor, Debbie Clarke, Darren (Lori) Taylor, Larry (Mary) Bingley, Linda Bingley, Donald (Josephine) Bingley, Diane (Steve) Madill, Gary Bingley, Bill (Cheryl) Hrynkiw, Cindy (Harold) Magee, Rick (Sue) Hrynkiw, Rosemary Solomon, Georgina Solomon, George Solomon, her 35 great grandchildren, 18 great, great grandchildren, and 3 great, great, great grandchildren, her stepchildren, Marilyn (Al) Mackay, Keith Brown, Ray (Darlene) Brown, Elaine(Allen)Torpet and 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, also, daughter-in-law Dorothy Taylor, sister-in-law, Reva Henry, nephew Milton (Elsie) Henry and family, nieces, Ivy Hodgin and family, Sharon Henry and family. Gran was predeceased by her parents, Stephen Mack Henry and Martha Dillard (Weir) Flett, her brothers, John Leo Henry and James Milton Henry, her first husband, Elmer Taylor, husband Jim Brown, son, Henry (Hank) Taylor and wife Corrine, daughters, Anna Taylor, Helen and husband Charles Bingley, Shirley and husband Ernie Hrynkiw, June (Ashley) Boyle, grand nephew Cory Henry and nephew-in-law Jim Hodgin.
