Obituary of Madeline Ermantrout

On Wednesday, January 28, 2015, Madeline Scherger (Ermantrout), of Fabian Alberta, passed away at Lloydminster Hospital at the age of 82. She is loved and remembered by her nine children, Vern & Ruth of Edmonton AB, Clarence of Sherwood Park AB, Ervin & Marilyn of Wainwright AB, Darlene & Fred of Edmonton AB, Dorienna of Viking AB, Lenny of Fabian AB, Deanna and Travis of Yellowknife NWT, Leslie and Pat of Beaumont AB, Randy and Christie of Camrose AB, her 22 grandchildren, her 31 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings, Peggy, Anne, Mike & Beverly, Jerry & Roberta, Larry, Leona, Loretta, Valentine & Betty, Tilly & Metro and numerous nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Raeghael and Mary Scherger, her two brothers, Ray and Bill, one sister, Molly, one brother-in-law, Ernie, and one son-in-law, Dale Kellar. Madline loved making German meals for her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed teaching everyone how to speak in German. Madeline had an infectious laugh which was enjoyed by everyone around her. She was a beautiful person who liked visiting with family and friends. She would wake up early every Saturday morning to watch Western Movies. Let us not forget how much she loved her wrestling! She will be sadly missed by family and friends but never forgotten. Upon Madeline Schergers’ (Ermantrout) request, there will be no official funeral. There will be a celebration of life in the spring of 2015.
