Dear Christa and family, Our deepest sympathy on the great loss of Joel. We served together on the federal PC constituency and Joel was a very caring young man. His loss as a husband and father will be great and his loss as a mentor to so many young people will be as well. He gave his best in everything he became involved in and he will be missed. To the Bowtell family, I am saddened and shocked to learn of the passing of Joel. We lived together in St. Joe's and I have fond memories of Joel always being the one to bring laughter to a room. I was so sorry to hear of your recent loss Kathy,Christa and family. Joel was an absolute wonderful person who touched many lives. I remember you bringing the boys to church when they were small Kathy and Christa I remember seeing you, Joel and the girls out walking and thinking what a lovely family. Wondering if the girls will be tall like Joel or short like you Christa. May memories of Joel be with you all in the days ahead so you can tell his two daughters what a great man he was. I worked with Joel at the edmonton coliseum. He was a joyous presence in the kitchen. I worked in the office and enjoyed his wonderful presence. I remember posting a story from the Edmonton journal regarding his chocolate challenge with his students. I can't imagine the number of lying people's lives he touched. He was so young himself. He will be in many hearts for years to come. I am so sorry for your loss.
