Obituary of Dennis James Carlson

Dennis beloved husband of Joyce (Sticka) of Calgary, AB, passed away on April 1, 2017 at the age of 68 years. Dennis was born in Islay, Alberta to parents Walter and Marjorie Carlson. Dennis and Joyce were married on May 8th 1981 and enjoyed 35 years together. Dennis enjoyed the simple things in life such as a home cooked meal, spending time gardening and with his family. He would often spend his time carving wood as it was his greatest passion. He also loved teaching his granddaughters about all the wonders of the world and crafting/creating with them. Dennis died peacefully at home on April 1, 2017 after a lengthy battle with COPD. Dennis is survived by his loving wife Joyce of Calgary, Alberta, their three children, LeAnne and David Moore of Langdon, Alberta, Daniel Carlson of Calgary, Alberta and Amanda Carlson of Calgary, Alberta and his granddaughters, Emmalee, Olivia and Sammie Moore of Langdon, Alberta. Dennis is also survived by his siblings Don and Dianne Carlson, Brian Carlson, Francis and Barb Carlson, Irene and George Starko, all of Vermilion, Alberta, Al and Marlene Carlson of Namao, Alberta, Tim and Karen Carlson of Sherwood Park and, Brenda and Wayne Lewis of Daysland, Alberta.
