Recently, we were talking about the things we miss about Vermilion and one we agreed on were those days during the chuck wagon races when we met you and Darlene on the bleachers of the first curve. Dear Jim, Amanda, Chad & Joshua<br>We were very shocked and saddened to hear about Darlene's passing.<br>May it somehow help knowing that we too mourn your loss of a dear Wife Mom and Grandma. We are sorry to say we will not be able to attend the funeral tomorrow because of previous commitments and distance involved. George, Jim, Amanda and family,<br><br>I attended JR Robson and graduated with Darlene in 1978. She was always such a nice person with a warm friendly smile.<br>I believe George and Gary Carruthers are related. Gertie Carruthers is my mother Pearl Fry's cousin. Darlene and I talked about being kind of related way back then.<br>I haven't seen or talked to Darlene since high school and am very sad to hear her life has been cut short.<br>So sorry for your loss.........Susan<br>

Al and Linda, thank you so much for your condolences. My life is still not in very great shape but we're trying. Can you send me the name of the restaurant that Johnaton has on Maui. Amanda, Chad, Joshua and I are going there in November to spread some of Dar's ashes, as Hawaii was our second home, and thought it might be nice to see him. Thanks again. Take care.
