Obituary of John Bruce

March 5, 1920 - June 24, 2013 Age 93 years A true gentleman, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on June 24, 2013 surrounded by the love of his family and friends. He has gone to join his loving wife, Marjorie, in their heavenly home. John is deeply loved and missed by his three children - Brennan (Linda), Greg (Evie) and Valora "Ski" - all of whom he was so proud. His everlasting handprint will remain on his grandchildren - Brandy (Corey), Kacie, Brittany & Braden; and on his great grandchildren - Abby, Layla, and Allee. He is also missed by his sister-in-law, Alice Bruce, as well as his many nieces and nephews. John is predeceased by his wife, Marjorie, his parents William "Allie" & Mabel, and by his brothers, Cliff, Ray, Lloyd and sister, Doris. John is loved by all who knew him, and will be forever remembered for his kindness, gentleness and sense of humor. John had so many wonderful friends and we thank you all so much. A Funeral Service will be held at the McQueen Memorial United Church, Mannville on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Minburn Cemetery Fund.
