Obituary of Philip McBride Holt

On Saturday, December 5, 2020 Mr. Phil Holt of Irma, Alberta, passed away peacefully at his daughter Mary Ann & Larry Ruud’s ranch at the age of 92 years. Phil rode tall in the saddle; and valued family, horses, cattle and fresh air. He will be missed. Phil was predeceased by his wife, Josephine. He is survived by his five children, Bill (Wendy) Holt of Irma, Gordon (Lana) Holt of Irma, Marvin (Denise) Holt of Irma, Joe (Leona) Holt of Irma, Mary Ann (Larry) Ruud of Vermilion; his grandchildren, Shelly (Ian), Darin (Erin), Kyla (Joel), Cara (Mack), Clay (Kim), Tausha (Kent), Shayna (Christopher), Cassidy (Scott), Darnell (Ashley), Mason (Hayley), Reba (Brendan), Markie (Ryan), Chloe (Will), Braeden (Camila), Austin (Samantha); his great grandchildren, Jace, Miller, Ben, Jamie, Blair, Riley, Leta, Myla, Emory, Hunter, Kyler, Caris, Blair, Runa, Sawyer, Jax, Cates, Kit, Evan, Maxwell, Rowe, Myer, Remy; brothers, Barry, Clifton, Mack; as well as many extended family. A Celebration of Life will take place Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. at the Elks' Hall in Wainwright, Alberta. To honour Dad's wishes, a hot supper and dance to follow.
