Obituary of Laurence William Rutledge

On Sunday, January 2, 2022 Mr. Laurence Rutledge of Wainwright, Alberta passed away suddenly at his home at the age of 65 years. He is survived by his loving family; three children, Chad (Melissa) Rutledge, Corey (Patricia Stuart) Rutledge, Lisa (Nick) Zelenika; as well as their mother, Arlene Rutledge all of Wainwright; seven grandchildren, Haylie Rutledge, Morgan Rutledge, Riley Rutledge, Wyatt Rutledge, Cody Rutledge, Eloise Zelenika, Benjamin Zeleinka; Wyatt and Cody’s mother, Charlene Rutledge; step-mom, Lorraine Rutledge of Wainwright; mother-in-law, Evelyn Arneson of Wainwright; two brothers, John (Bonnie) Rutledge of Wainwright, Ken (Michele) Rutledge of Hardisty, Alberta; sister, Judy (Henry) Fenton of Wainwright; sister-in-laws and brother-in-law, Carole Rutledge of Wainwright, Lois (Ernie) Dempsey of Edgerton; numerous nieces and nephews. Laurence was predeceased by his son, Donovan Rutledge; parents, Gordon and Margaret Rutledge; father-in-law, Melvin Arneson; brothers, Jim Rutledge and Ed Rutledge; infant sister, Kathleen Rutledge; brothers-in-law, Mervin Arneson and John Arneson. A Funeral service for Laurence will be conducted on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 2:00 PM from the Grace United Church, Wainwright. This service is open to the public and the Restrictions Exemption Program will be implemented. Proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test will be required for attendance. Interment will take place following cremation at the Wainwright Cemetery.
